A Experiência
Upon hearing the name of the place, I immediately thought of something sweet. The Chocolate Hills in Bohol is one of the reasons why Bohol is considered to be one of the prime tourist destinations in the Philippines. The sight that you will see the moment you get to Bohol's Chocolate Hills is indeed sweet, mesmerizing and breathtaking. I asked around why its name is Chocolate Hills and I found out that the green grass that covers the 1,776 hills turns brown during dry season. In short, during the summer season, these hills look like thousands of chocolate mounds. These Chocolate Hills maybe rare, but they are certainly not unique. Fact of the matter is, there are also similar formation that can be found in Australia, Indonesia and Slovenia. What made this Chocolate Hills stand out than the rest is the fact that they have simpler shape, they don't have caves underneath them and they look very spectacular. Geologists have different stories behind its formation. However, most of them agree that these hills are remnants of an uplifted seafloor that is weather by rain and wind. Local legends say that these formations were caused by two giants who are arguing and fighting with each other. They got so pissed off with each other that they threw mounds of soil at each other. There are two ways to view the Chocolate Hills. One is by going to the Chocolate Hills Complex that can be found in Carmen, Bohol. This government owned resort caters to tourist and serves as the original viewing station of the famous Chocolate Hills. Another way to view the hills is by going to what the locals refer to as the Sagbayan peak.

- As the door slammed shut, a wave of claustrophobia enveloped the thirty-two people crammed into a dingy cell at the Elmina Castle on the Ghanaian Gold Coast. The cells here are no bigger than an average closet, and the only light which can be seen from the inside is a small square of light at the door. Everything inside the cell was black and quiet except for the breathing of those people around me. A few moments later, the door swung open and my lungs breathed in fresh air with relief. The staggering moment came when our tour guide informed ...364 quilômetros de distância.
- Ver pegar um pássaro olho da Mata no Parque Nacional Kakum
- My heart pounds as I look over the landscape. Taking the first step is key to one of the greatest experiences I'll have in Ghana, if I can just get over the height. One deep breathe in and I'm going for it. Stepping onto the first bridge feels like freedom in the sky. It's a shaky freedom for me but freedom nonetheless. Exploring Kakum National Park in central Ghana provides an exhilarating close look at African nature. At 40 meters high in some areas, taking a canopy tour over the Kakum rainforest feels like a walk in the clouds. North ...386 quilômetros de distância.
